HOW TO MANAGE OBESITY USING NATURAL SUPPLEMENT?

UNDERSTANDING OBESITY

Obesity is a disease characterized by excessive body fat. People who are medically obese usually are affected by behavior, genetic and environmental factors that are difficult to control with dieting. Obesity increases the likelihood of certain diseases and other related health problems.

1Obesity is due to an individual taking in more calories than they burn over an extended period of time. These “extra” calories are stored as fat. Although there are several factors that can lead to this energy imbalance in obese individuals, the main contributors are behaviour, environment and genetics.

Stages of overweight are medically defined by body mass index (BMI). An individual with a BMI of 25 to 29.9 kg/m2 is clinically classified as overweight. A BMI of 30 kg/m2 or more is classified as obese.

Obesity has been linked to a host of illnesses including

  • Diabetes
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Breathing disorders

Rapid urbanization along with rising income and sedentary lifestyles have all been associated with rising levels of obesity.

SCENARIO OF OBESITY IN INDIA

2India is the third most obese country in the world. A country where 270 million people live below the ‘poverty line’, obesity seems to be a distant issue, meant for the rich kids of first world.

But India is under siege: junk food, alcohol and sedentary lifestyle are leading us to silent self destruction, making one in every five Indian men and women either obese or overweight.

A study published in the noted medical journal Lancet says India is just behind US and China in this global hazard list of top 10 countries with highest number of obese people.

WHAT ARE THE SOCIAL EFFECTS OF OBESITY?

3

Individuals affected by obesity often face obstacles far beyond health risks. Emotional suffering may be one of the most painful parts of obesity. Society often emphasizes the importance of physical appearance. As a result, people who are obese often face prejudice or discrimination in the job market, at school and in social situations.

IRVINGIA GABONENSIS: SOLUTION TO FIGHT OBESITY

African mango (Irvingia gabonensis) is a tree that is native to West African countries. The seeds from this tree are used to make medicine. Irvingia gabonensis has become so popular because it has been shown to help people lose weight.

HOW IRVINGIA GABONENSIS DOES HELP IN WEIGHT LOSS?

4

Researchers believe that African mango helps promote weight loss in several ways.

  • 5It helps boost a person’s leptin level.
  • Leptin is a hormone that helps suppress appetite. Obesity is associated with an increase in leptin levels, which is unusual for the standard mechanism of action in leptin. The reason associated to this is that obese individuals are believed to be resistant to the effects of leptin.
  • Leptin resistance stimulates obesity. Therefore, leptin resistant people find it difficult to lose weight.
  • A hearty appetite can prevent a person from reaching their weight loss goals.
  • African mango helps delay stomach emptying. This helps prevent blood sugar spikes. Blood sugar spikes can lead to food cravings. Additionally, there has also been evidence to suggest that African mango helps increase the breakdown of fat.

SCIENTIFIC PROOF

There have been numerous studies done on African mango by researchers

6

  • There was a clinical study done back in 2005 that tested the effectiveness of African mango on weight loss. There were a total of 40 participants. Twenty-eight of the participants took 350 mg of African mango abstract for one month while the other 12 were given a placebo. The results of the study were that the people who took the African mango extract were able to lose about 5% of their body weight. The subjects who were given a placebo only lost one percent of their body weight.
  • Recently, there was another clinical study done on African mango. Half of the participants were given African mango while the other half was given a placebo. The results of the study were that the participants who took African mango were able to lose 7 pounds in just a month. The results of this study can be found in the Journal for American Health and Disease.

FUROSLIM

7It is easy to try one diet after another but this will never be a long-term solution. The right way to lose weight safely is to understand the science and research behind natural supplements and apart from this one should change eating habits and then ensure that those new, healthier eating habits become a way of life.

There’s no point in adopting strict measure that prevent you from living life to the fullest. After all, food is there to be enjoyed. You need a way of eating where you can eat out with friends, socialize without having to give up the meal. Real and permanent fat loss (not just weight loss) has to be gradual and it takes time. The important thing, however, is that this approach works, and your weight will stay off.

FUROSLIMIrvingia gabonensis helps to improve the sensitivity of leptin. Fortunately, it not only reverses leptin resistance, but also facilitates the breakdown of body fat by reducing an enzyme (glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase) that enables glucose to be stored as triglyceride in adipocytes.

FUROSLIMIrvingia gabonensis also increases the insulin-sensitizing hormone adiponectin and inhibits the digestive enzyme amylase that allows ingested carbohydrates to be broken down and absorbed into bloodstream.

ANTI OXIDANTS FOR GAINING HEALTH

OXIDATIVE STRESS

Oxidative stress is the disproportion between production of free radicals in the body and ability of the body to detoxify these free radicals with the help of antioxidants present in the body.

Normal molecules in the body have two(paired) electrons in their outer shell. A molecule with a single electron, i.e unpaired, in its outer shell is called a free radical. Thus, free radicals are highlyresponsive molecules, which are produced inside the body by various biochemical reactions. These free radicals are essential to carry out many biological processes such as intracellular killing of bacteria by the phagocytic cells. But when these free radicals start to accumulate inside the body instead of using them up, then they start harming the body cells by targeting lipids, proteins as well as DNA of the cells. This state of harmful effects caused by free radicals is termed as oxidative stress.

 DISEASES ASSOCIATED WITH OXIDATIVE STRESS

Oxidative stress is responsible for many diseases inside body. Some of these include:

  • Neurodegenerative diseases
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Alzheimer’s disease
  • Huntington’s disease
  • Lou Gehrig’s disease
  • Depression
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Hypoxia
  • Chronic fatigue syndrome
  • Age-related development of cancer
  • Gastric cancer

ANTIOXIDANT

Antioxidants are the molecules that neutralize free radicals by giving them an extra electron. Our body produces antioxidants such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH) naturally.

These naturally available antioxidants are notsufficient to neutralize all of the free radicals inside the body. As people grow older, this natural production of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) cannot keep up with the increasing levels of free radicals. Thus, constant supply of antioxidants either from additional diet or in the form of a drug is necessary for human body.

SOURCES OF ANTIOXIDANTS

There are various sources of antioxidants such as Vitamin E, Vitamin C, beta carotene, selenium, phytonutrients, etc. These sources are divided into three categories of antioxidants to fight against oxidative stress. These are:

  • Natural antioxidants: A human body has its own system of antioxidants which is activated when oxidative stress is originated inside the body. These include superoxide dismutase, catalase and glutathione peroxidase.
  • Synthetic antioxidants:Another source of antioxidants is synthetic antioxidant which are manufactured by the industries. These antioxidants are in the form of medicines and are available in the market for consumption.
  • Plant antioxidants: Like us, plants also have antioxidant systems. Various parts of the plants such as fruits, leaves, seeds etc contain bioactive components which can be used as antioxidants for human consumption. These forms of antioxidants are very effective with almost negligible side effects. They are either prepared in the form of extracts or can be consumed along with diet. These include flavonoids, catechins, carotenoids, beta carotene, terpenes, etc.

THERAPEUTIC APPLICATIONS OF ANTIOXIDANTS

  • Antioxidants in cardiovascular disease: Free radicals produced from LDL are considered to be a major part of cardiovascular events. Antioxidants may inhibit atherosclerosis by targeting LDL associated free radicals and therefore, help to prevent the complications of cardiovascular diseases.

  • Antioxidants in stroke treatment: Oxidative stress is a potential contributor to strokes. Excessive oxidative stress results in apoptosis, inflammation, DNA damage, lipid per-oxidation and protein denaturation – all of which contribute to and magnify signals leading to damage, followed by stroke. Antioxidants are considered to be a treatment strategy for stroke. They are reported to reduce cell damage caused by stroke by blocking the production of excessive free radicals in the body.

  • Antioxidants for cancer: There are common antioxidants which are involved in cancer treatment. These are lipoic acid, Vitamin C, beta carotene, Vitamin E, etc. These antioxidants increase the activity of immunity cells against cancer cells. These antioxidants also constrain the damage caused by free radicals to the DNA

  • Antioxidants in brain health: Antioxidants are commonly used as treatment for different forms of brain injury. Superoxide dismutase mimetics such as sodium thiopental and propofol are used to treat reperfusion injury and traumatic brain injury.

  • Antioxidants in neurodegenerative diseases: Neuronal proteins and structural components get altered due to oxidative stress in different neurological disorders leading to neuro-inflammation and loss of cognitive function. Antioxidants are very effective for neuroprotection. Antioxidants target calcium mediated neurotoxicity and prevent the commencement of neurodegenerative diseases. Antioxidants also prevent the oxidation of proteins, lipid peroxidation and prevent the formation of free radicals, therefore acting as a barrier to the oxidative stress.

(Uttara B et al.: Oxidative stress and neurodegenerative diseases: A review of upstream and downstream antioxidant therapeutic options. Curr Neuropharmacol. 2009 Mar; 7(1): 65–74)

  • Antioxidants in liver damage: Antioxidants are considered to have the beneficial effects in the management of liver diseases. Clinical study has showed that antioxidants alone or in combination with anti-HCV therapy have shown biochemical efficacy with a decline in serum ALT levels. Antioxidants have proven to be a treatment therapy for alcoholic cirrhosis, alcoholic hepatitis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis.

ANTIOXIDANTS FOR WEIGHT LOSS

Antioxidants

Antioxidants are man-made as well as natural elements that can offset free radicals and protect the body from cellular damage. Antioxidants inhibit or delay certain types of cell damage. Some antioxidants are produced by the body, while others can be procured through dietary sources. Antioxidants are present in a variety of foods, including fruits and vegetables. They are also available as dietary supplements.
Free radicals are chemicals that are typically formed in our bodies as the byproduct of calories being converted into energy. In addition to this, they can be found in natural sources, like air and sunlight whenever they react with the skin. They can easily damage cells and genetic material. Other sources of free radicals are present in the form of food that you eat and the air that you breathe. Some are generated by sunlight’s reaction with skin and eyes.

Examples of antioxidants include

THE FREE RADICAL STORY: HOW DO FREE RADICALS CAUSE DAMAGE?

  • Free radicals are presentnaturally as a result of chemical reactions that take place in our bodies. However, exposure to pollution, cigarette smoke and sunlight can manifold increase the number of these free radicals.
  • Free radicals can cause damage to thetissues, cell membranes and DNA, which may then lead to certain cancers and other diseases.
  • Free radicals can be ofmany shapes, sizes, and chemical configurations. What they all have in common is aninsatiable appetite for electrons, stealing them from close-by substances that will surrender This electrons’stealing can completely change the “loser’s” structure or function. Free radicals can damage or change the instructions coded in a strand of DNA causing numerous diseases including cancer, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and eye diseases such as cataract and age-related macular degeneration.

THE ROLE OF ANTIOXIDANTS

  • Antioxidants help to keep thefree radicals steady and prevent them from causing any

  • The human body, long used to this harsh attack, makes antioxidant molecules that quashfree radicals. Antioxidants can also be extracted from food products. They work by generously conferring electrons to free radicals without turning into electron-scavenging substances themselves.

HOW DO ANTIOXIDANTS HELP TO SUPPORT WEIGHT LOSS?

  • Toxins produced by the body are stored in fat cells inside our The body holds on to the fat cells as a defence mechanism to keepthe body from being assaulted and flooded with toxins. Toxins slow down body’s metabolism and it becomes difficult to lose weight even if you are eating less.
  • Toxins also affect the brain cells and caninterfere with hunger control and hormone regulation such as management of blood sugar.
  • Antioxidants equalizethe free radicals and help to exclude the toxins from the body. This helps every cell in the body to function more efficiently in dealing with waste, hereby, improving Antioxidants also make the fat cells reduce their production of triglycerides.

ANTIOXIDANT-RICH FOODS

Berries: Blueberries, strawberries, mulberry, goji berries are the best sources of antioxidants without any doubt. Berries contain a variety of vitamins and minerals, which help to lower inflammation and improve the immune system.

Nuts & Seeds:The powerful combination of Vitamin E and fiber in nuts and seeds make them great sources of antioxidants.

Green leafy vegetables: Dark green leafyvegetables like spinach, methi, coriander have beta-carotene as well as are rich in vitamins A, C, E, and even calcium. They are also a rich source of potassium and magnesium.

Whole grains:Try replacing refined grains like white rice or all purpose flour (maida) with brown rice or whole wheat flour, and one can drastically increase the antioxidants level in their diet. These whole grains provide the antioxidant nutrients like selenium and zinc. They are also rich in phytochemicals.

GRECOBE- An Ultimate Antioxidant

GRECOBE – Green coffee bean extract has strong anti-oxidant properties. The Green coffee bean extract has Chlorogenic acids, dietary polyphenols which act to help reduce free radicals in the body. Chlorogenic acid is a phytochemical found in green coffee beans but when the coffee beans are roasted, the chlorogenic acid is destroyed. This active ingredient makes green coffee bean an excellent agent to absorb free radicals; as well as helping to avert hydroxyl radicals, both of which contribute in the degradation of cells in the body. It’s now available in sachets as instant green coffee. It is a great health drink, which is a taste paradise too.

HOW “SATIETY HORMONE – LEPTIN” IS LINKED TO PCOS?

PCOS is a disorder involving multiple cysts in the ovaries of women, which originates from hormonal imbalance inside the body. Among these hormones (testosterone, LH & FSH), one hormone is Leptin, which is also known as “satiety hormone”.
Leptin is made by adipose cells (fat cells) that help to regulate energy balance by inhibiting hunger. It works along with the hormone ghrelin inside the body, which is known as the “hunger hormone”. Thus, know how satiety hormone leptin is linked to PCOS and your fat cells produce hormones. This is one reason why women who have a lot of fat often have hormonal problems. Leptin signals the hypothalamus gland in the brain when fat cells are full. The hypothalamus uses this information to maintain energy balance in the body. Leptin is intimately involved in the long-term management of body weight and in regulating appetite.

In obesity, a decreased sensitivity to leptin takes place increasing serum leptin levels. This results in an inability to detect satiety despite of high energy stores. This situation increases body fat and thus, raises body weight.

LINK BETWEEN PCOS AND THIS SATIETY HORMONE – LEPTIN

PCOS is characterized by chronic anovulation, hyper-androgenemia, insulin resistance and a high incidence of obesity. These features are often linked to leptin and its receptor. Leptin, the product from the obesity gene (ob gene), correlates positively with BMI but also has variation during the menstrual cycle. Leptin levels peak in the luteal phase of the cycle, correlating with maximum progesterone. These changes suggest a direct physiological role for leptin in regulating ovarian function. Disruption of such an effect could play a role in menstrual irregularities generally observed in both obese and under-nourished women and may offer a pathophysiological mechanism in women with how satiety hormone leptin is linked to PCOS

HOW TO MANAGE PCOS BY CONTROLLING LEPTIN?

Leptin is influenced by diet, genetics, gender, amount of fat weight and a substantial number of other hormones. You can improve your leptin balance by switching to a healthier diet, and getting more exercise.

Weight loss

can show improvement in both ovulation and insulin resistance.

can have a direct effect on hyperandrogenism and the resultant hirsutism by increasing the function of SHBG concentration, which binds to testosterone.

  •  Long-term weight loss

  • is the goal and needs to focus on a change of lifestyle rather than a restrictive diet plan.
  • Increase quality protein in your diet. High protein diets have shown good results in both insulin-resistant and PCOS women. Protein can improve satiety and have a regulating effect on blood sugar levels.
  • Increase vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds
  • Increase good fats (avocados, coconut oil, olive oil)
  • Consume plenty of water (8 glasses per day)
  • Limit foods high in sugar (e.g. cakes, pastries, soft drinks) and processed foods
  • Limit high fructose foods as these have been shown to increase leptin levels.

Exercise

  •  Exercise appears to have a powerful influence on neurotransmitter and hormone levels.
  • Exercise and movement in general have a positive effect on leptin and insulin sensitivity.
  •  Exercise allows leptin to work properly, thereby reducing weight gain.
  •  Simply starting with a walking program with intervals should kick-start leptin switch into the proper mode. As this hormone begins operating more efficiently, energy and appetite are better regulated, making good health easier than ever to achieve.

Reduce stress

 Reducing stress will also help directly with PCOS and fertility. Stress stimulates the release of cortisol (steroid hormone released in response to stress) from the hypothalmic-pituitary axis. The ‘stress’ hormone cortisol promotes central obesity and insulin resistance and these are the two main concerns for increases in leptin levels.
 Stress exacerbates the vicious cycle of PCOS by promoting both androgen overproduction in the ovaries and also increasing cravings for carbohydrates, which can contribute to obesity.

Herbal treatment

Even as the above lifestyle factors should be the first line of defense in the treatment of PCOS and fertility and in addressing the leptin, insulin relationships in PCOS, there are herbs that may assist with PCOS.
One such herb is Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum grecum). This herb is reported to have a direct effect on PCOS. Furocyst™ is a supplement completely based on fenugreek seed extract. It is clinically proven to manage hormonal imbalances in PCOS and inducing fertility. As it is based on fenugreek, it does not have any side effect, which is also proved during the clinical study.
Another supplement to curb those hunger pangs in Furoslim. It’s an Irvingia Gabonensis (African Mango) seed extract. Irvingia Gabonensis is the molecule to improve the sensitivity of leptin, which is the main cause of obesity. It not only reverses leptin resistance, but also facilitates the breakdown of body fat by reducing an enzyme (glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase) that enables glucose to be stored as triglyceride in adipocytes. Irvingia Gabonensis also increases the insulin-sensitizing hormone adiponectin and inhibits the digestive enzyme amylase that allows ingested carbohydrates to be broken down and absorbed into the bloodstream and get cured from how satiety hormone leptin is linked to pcos.
Thus, instead of using harmful medications which either have side effects or produce a temporary effect, it is better to choose lifestyle modifications, dietary changes and herbal supplements such as Furocyst™ to manage PCOS naturally and devoid of any side effect.

A Casino Jackpot Helped A Woman Afford PCOS Treatment

Recently, the number of women and girls who have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is growing in the world, with a special mention for western and modern countries.

The main causes for PCOS may be several and they may include sudden life style changes or a metabolic derangement. The latter is possibly the worst aspect when dealing with PCOS, because treatment and management may easily be expensive for patients: pharmacologic treatments and medications have a high cost in certain edges of the world. As a consequence, some patients wait until they can save enough money for such medical treatments, even though this may mean to have to face physical collateral effects.

A Woman Tried Casino Games And She Won Big

It may sound a little bit weird, but in certain cases affording PCOS treatments is really over one’s financial conditions, like in the case of a woman who thought to go to Las Vegas as her last hope.

She wasn’t really an expert gambler and she probably was in the full of her desperation, non being able to afford the PCOS treatments she needed. Unexpectedly, she won big overnight playing new pokie machine games and she could begin a PCOS treatment process to heal from her disease.

It’s certainly a happy-end story which may give new hope to women who are waiting for better financial conditions. The bottom line is that pokie machines are way more advantageous than classic slot machines.

Difference Between Australian Pokies And SlotsSlot machines

For many people out there pokies and slots are just very similar games. Actually, there are very slight differences between these two types of games, mostly consisting in odds of winnings, rather than in game style or options.

  • Pokies and slots are 100% the same game. The name Australian people gave their own slots is pokie, which is the shortened form for “poker machine”, which was the most played type of slot machine
  • Most relevant differences between American slots and Australian pokies consist in the odds of winning prizes, that look more advantageous with pokies
  • Australian pokies are today played and known by all gamblers in the world, since Australian pokies are commonly exported Down Under

Pokie In The Australian Casino Tradition

Normally, pokie games are differently themed so that each player can easily choose and find their own favorite themed game. This makes the pokie experience even more appealing for both beginners and expert players.

If you follow the link you will land to an important Australian casino guide, called Australia Casino. on Australia Casino you can see many virtual casinos that offer extremely refined and advanced pokie games, along with roulettes of all types, an endless number of card games and, of course, the most amazing slots.

Free Pokie Games On Australia Casino

If you are a beginner and you want to try a pokie game, don’t hesitate to use the free game versions you can find on most of the featured casinos: playing a free game is an excellent choice for getting started with a new type of game or for becoming more and more skilled until you feel you are ready to play for real money.

Australia Casino offers the best security level to registered members who decide to play for real money: all financial transactions are verified and protected by the SSL security system.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and Hirsutism

Hirsutism is the excessive hairiness on women on those parts of the body where hair normally is absent or minimal, such as beard or chest hair. It refers to a male pattern of body hair (androgenic hair) and it is therefore primarily of cosmetic and psychological concern. In 90% of the cases of Hirsutism, the women are tested positive for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Hirsutism.

PCOS is one of the most common endocrine disorders affecting women. Reportedly, around 5- 10 per cent of women in India are affected with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). One of the primary issues with PCOS is that the insulin producing cells are over responsive and create too much insulin, causing Hyperinsulinemia. The increase in insulin causes the ovaries to produce too much of testosterone, excess androgens cause ovarian cysts, acne and male pattern hair growth. Androgen acts on the growth phase of hair cycle, causing the hair to go from vellus hair (the light, thin hair that covers the body) to terminal hair (thick, dark hair). There are a variety of treatments available to treat hirsutism.

Hormonal Treatment

Birth control pills are the most commonly suggested hormonal treatment for hirsutism. Birth control pills work by decreasing the production of androgens or male hormones, by the ovaries. Anti-androgen medicines are also prescribed to treat hirsutism because it directly blocks the effects of androgens in hair follicles. But most important, these medications are prescribed to women who are not pregnant, nor planning to become pregnant. In patients who have an “overactive” adrenal gland, low doses of steroids may be prescribed to suppress their activity. Women taking steroids may experience dizziness during the day or have difficulty falling asleep. These drugs may have serious side effects, including weight gain, thinning of the skin and bones, and decreased defense against infection.

Hormone treatment generally prevents new terminal hairs from developing and may slow the growth rate of existing hairs. Generally about six months of hormone therapy is required before the rate of hair growth decreases significantly. It is usually not possible to cure the hormonal problem that causes hirsutism, ongoing medical treatment is required to manage it. Hirsutism will frequently return if medical treatment is stopped.

Hair Removal

There are many temporary and permanent hair-removing techniques that are used by the women experiencing Hirutism. Plucking, waxing, shaving and using of epilators are among the most common solutions for temporary hair removal.
There are two types of permanent hair removal methods: electrolysis and laser treatment.

Electrolysis uses a very fine needle, which is inserted into the hair follicle. A mild electric current is sent through the needle to permanently destroy the hair follicle’s ability to produce hair. Since follicles are treated one at a time, it is impractical to use electrolysis to treat very large areas of the body. Laser treatments may be used on large areas of the body, although their long term effectiveness is not as well documented as electrolysis. During laser hair treatment, a beam of light is passed through the skin to the hair follicle to destroy it. Both methods of hair reduction are moderately painful, depending on the area of skin being treated, and multiple treatments are usually required.

Eat Right

Eating plenty of foods that contain vitamin B, chromium and magnesium – may help prevent and treat hirsutism. One should avoid intake of fats and taking high calorie food in the evening. Regular intake of dietary supplement like FUROCYST can give positive results in PCOS management. FUROCYST is an innovative product (extracted and developed through a novel & innovative U.S. patented process) involving separations of active ingredients from the natural plant without affecting chemical properties of the active fractions. No chemicals are used. It is a natural and promising dietary supplement effective for management of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) with proved safety and an efficacy rate of 94%.

POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME (PCOS) AND HAIR LOSS

One of the most common endocrine disorders, affecting women in India is the Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). A study reported that 10% of women of child bearing age are affected with PCOS in recent years. Women with PCOS have various symptoms which may be cosmetic, such as acne, facial hair and pigmentation, gynecological such as irregular periods, infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss, or endocrinological, such as obesity, insulin resistance and diabetes. POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME AND HAIR LOSS

Among the many mentioned symptoms of PCOS, Hair Loss or ALOPECIA is one foremost problem, which the women face. Research has shown that 67% of all women who suffer from alopecia or hair loss also have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Hormonal imbalance is one of the major symptoms, which women suffering from PCOS have to deal with. Many women have heightened levels of androgens or testosterone and dihydrotestosterone (DHT). High levels of these hormones in women with PCOS cause hair loss, specifically DHT. In excess, androgens, specifically DHT latch onto hair follicles and begin to affect the hair, eventually to the point of hair loss. DHT also causes the follicle to stop producing new hair; essentially a DHT clogged follicle is the result. This is called androgenic alopecia.

Given below are the points that can be very effective in combating Alopecia caused by PCOS.

Following proper PCOS diet and Exercise: (Best way to get rid of PCOS using herbal remedies) (Lifestyle modifications as a natural treatment for PCOS) Eating lots of green vegetables, healthy fats and balancing carbohydrates and proteins are the backbones of PCOS nutrition. Also one needs to keep a check on the weight gain as it has been observed that weight control improves many aspects of PCOS. A weight reduction of even a few percent has clinical benefits. All women with PCOS should be encouraged to follow a healthy diet and to engage in regular exercise.

Stress Management: Keeping stress levels to the minimum is highly recommended for women with PCOS. Chronic levels of cortisol, the stress hormone are just not what someone with PCOS symptoms needs. Following a healthy diet and exercise plan can work wonders. Meditation and yoga is very helpful to beat stress.

Sleep well: Sleep is regulated by two hormones, melatonin and serotonin. When they are disrupted by lack of sleep, this affects other hormones and makes them go haywire. Eating regularly will keep your insulin levels balanced and keep your hormones from being affected by drops and highs.

Hair Care: A well-crafted hair care regimen is highly recommended in PCOS. Avoid hair color, bleach and hair styling products. Also constant pulling hair back up and hairstyles that aggravate the scalp should be avoided. While washing hair, it should be made sure that the scalp is completely cleansed up to remove DHT residue.

Natural Supplements: One should ensure the intake of vitamin B, magnesium, zinc and biotin. Also regular intake of dietary supplement like FUROCYST can give positive results in PCOS management. Furocyst is an innovative product (extracted and developed through a novel & innovative U.S. patented process) involving separations of active ingredients from the natural plant without affecting chemical properties of the active fractions. No chemicals are used. It is a natural and promising dietary supplement effective for management of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). It has been clinically evaluated for efficacy and safety and has been shown to be completely safe for consumption with a 94% success rate.

Get Thyroid Checked: Many women with PCOS have hypothyroid (low thyroid) issues and the side effects include thinning hair and hair loss.

Best Treatment for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome(PCOS)

In India, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common endocrine disorders affecting women. Reportedly, around 10 percent of the women in India are affected by PCOS. Women with PCOS have various symptoms which may be cosmetic, such as acne, facial hair, and pigmentation, gynecological such as irregular periods, infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss, or endocrinological such as obesity, insulin resistance, and diabetes. PCOS is not a disease but a syndrome of multiple symptoms and signs and every woman might not have all the possible symptoms for Treatment for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome(PCOS).

Lifestyle changes: (Lifestyle modifications as a natural treatment for PCOS)

It has been observed that weight control improves many aspects of PCOS. The cycles become more regular, androgen levels are reduced, lipid and glucose metabolism improves, and spontaneous pregnancy may follow. Weight reduction of even a few percents has clinical benefits. This is because visceral fat is metabolically more active, and weight loss of a few percents is associated with significant loss of visceral fat. On the basis of these observations, weight management by dieting and exercise is recommended to all women with PCOS.

Contraceptives/ birth control pills: (TO USE OR NOT TO USE ORAL CONTRACEPTIVES FOR POLYCYSTIC OVARY SYNDROME (PCOS) MANAGEMENT)

In PCOS, ovulation does not occur regularly, which prevents the rise and fall of progesterone hormone, which is responsible for causing a woman’s period. Instead, the uterine lining is not shed and is exposed to estrogen for a longer period of time causing it to grow much thicker than normal. Over time, lack of exposure to progesterone may cause endometrial hyperplasia, which in rare cases can lead to endometrial cancer. Taking the oral contraceptives (birth control pills) regulates the menstrual cycle by providing the progesterone that body needs, causing the uterine lining to be shed frequently and reducing the risk of endometrial hyperplasia. They contain various combinations and strengths of the hormones estrogen and progestin. But the effects of contraceptive pills vanish once the patient stops the intake of these pills.

Diabetes medications:

Insulin sensitizers are generally used to treat type 2 diabetes. It affects the way insulin controls blood glucose (sugar) and lowers testosterone production. It slows the growth of abnormal hair and after a few months of use, may help ovulation to return. But about 25% of the women using insulin sensitizers have reported experiencing abdominal discomfort, cramps, nausea, and diarrhea.

Surgery:

“Ovarian drilling” is a surgery that may increase the chance of ovulation. It’s sometimes used when a woman does not respond to fertility medicines. This surgery can lower male hormone levels and help with ovulation. But these effects may only last a few months. This treatment doesn’t help with the loss of scalp hair or increased hair growth on other parts of the body.

FUROCYST is an innovative product with a proved efficacy of 94% in PCOS management. Furocyst is a comprehensive single-herb product (extracted and developed through a novel & innovative U.S. patented process) involving separations of active ingredients from the natural plant without affecting chemical properties of the active fractions. No chemicals are used. It is a natural and promising dietary supplement effective for the management of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). It regulates the LH/FSH ratio as reported in various studies conducted on PCOS patients. Because of a decreased level of Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH) relative to LH, the ovarian granulosa cells cannot aromatize the androgens to estrogens, which leads to decreased estrogen levels and consequent anovulation. It also lowers testosterone production, thus normalizes symptoms of acne, irregular menstrual cycles & slows the growth of abnormal hair. It works by blocking the effects of “male hormones” such as testosterone and suppresses the production of these hormones by the ovaries. In a clinical study conducted, FUROCYST was reported to have no side effects and is thus, completely safe for consumption.
